I finally got soda!!!

Well Elizabeth is at that stage where she likes to pick at what we are eating. Sometimes we share with her, but some stuff we still don't give her. James and I have already decided that we won't be giving her soda until she's older than 2. For now juice is all she gets and she doesn't get much of that yet either. Well today she got through our little barricade and got into one of our 12 packs. It's so funny to see what she learns by just watching us. As soon as she got that soda in her hands she tried to drink it! It was the funniest thing, we all just laughed. Hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed seeing her do it.

Swimming!!!

Well it finally was nice enough weather on one of James' days off to take Elizabeth to the pool. I took the easy way out and just put her in a swimming shirt that we had and her little swimmer diapers rather than put her into a swimsuit. She did great. She didn't cry at all when we went into the water. And I just let her sit with me on the stairs to get use to it. She was perfectly happy just sitting there just checking everything out. Then we put her in her toy and she got so excited. She was kicking and laughing, and of course James was being goofy diving under her toy so she thought that was pretty awesome too. We were both very impressed how well she did.
Other than the swimming first nothing too much has happened. Elizabeth has a doctor's appointment next week, so we'll get to see how big she is now. She definitely is getting longer and skinnier. She still is pulling herself up on anything on the floor and walking along the edge. I'm thinking she's on the verge of walking because she's walking with her foot instead of her toes more, and she's getting more adventurous and trying to take steps into the middle of the room. I think she's getting another tooth on top. If she is that will make 3, unless she gets 2 at the same time like last time and then she'll have 4.
As for me I'll be in my 2nd trimester at the end of the week. So far I'm doing great, and haven't had much morning sickness. I've only gained 5 pounds too so that's made me very happy. My next appointment isn't until the 27th and then the next weekend we'll be flying out to Tahoe for our 1st vacation of the year (James gets 2 weeks of vacation this year). So that's it from our end.
