PAL Basketball

Lizzie started basketball in September.  It only ran for a little over a month (it ended on Saturday).  She had a lot of fun doing it though.  When soccer sign ups were going around James and I talked about it and decided we weren't going to sign the kids up for anything until they started asking us.  No point making our lives even more hectic if the kids aren't even interested.  So Liz asked if she could do basketball and we said yes.  The first few practices were so funny to watch (she was bouncing when she tried to dribble the ball).  But she made a lot of improvement in a month.  And the funny thing was that I knew her coach from when I was younger.

The pictures were from her first game.  Everyone but James was able to go, and it was pretty painful to watch since they are still learning all the rules.  But it was fun to see Liz trying.

By this point in the game Liz was really bored.  It didn't help that she had a huge jersey that was easier to play with all the extra room.

Liz turns 7!

Time to play catch up for the blog.  One of our big deal events of September was Elizabeth's birthday!  Her birthday was on a Monday, so we celebrated the day before since James had school Monday night.  Lizzie got excited to finally get her own 49ers shirt for her birthday.

We headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a little party and football (that was James' idea, not mine).  The kids were excited that the missionaries got to join in with us (the elders live in my parent's basement).  This year Lizzie wanted cupcakes, so cupcakes she had.

Presents were opened and it was fun.  Liz is starting to get into clothes now more.  Her actual birthday we had yummy donuts for breakfast and Liz was excited to be the first one to use the birthday plate I had made.  She had pictures taken on her birthday too.  It was fun getting to take treats to her class that afternoon too.  She had a great day and is already looking forward to her birthday next year so she can get baptized.
