Tahoe Part 3: Virginia City (Lots of Pics)

One of our little adventures on our vacation was Virginia City. Now I have been there before with Anna and David when Lizzi was 5 months old. So I was excited to do some shopping because I had my eye on a stone chess set I had seen over 2 years ago. But James and I were also excited for our little outing because of this show we're addicted to called "Ghost Adventures". Basically 3 guys go and get literally locked in to the location they are investigating and film all night. Well the documentary that they shot and thus began their show was partly shot in Virginia City! So of course I was hoping to get something cool in a picture. Yes I know, I'm a nerd.

Our first haunted location. One of the things that they mention a lot on any ghost investigation shows is light orbs. Sometimes they are dust, sometimes they are manifestations of spirits (that's what they say at least). I think I got one in this photo. I guess the story here is that a prostitute killed herself in this hotel. What James is looking at is silver dollars that are on the wall to create a dress for the "lady" on the wall. If I remember right over $3000 in silver is on that wall.

Suicide table, named for that because many men lost there fortunes playing on it, and then later killed themselves. Upbeat huh?

On the documentary we watched this building actually had a figure on tape. So creepy! Luckily we didn't see anything, because I know deep down that if I ever did see something like that I would run away screaming my head off.

Getting ready to go back to Tahoe. The kids were great for our outing. I'm so lucky to have such easy going kids when it comes to going on little trips. It beats screaming, crying and anything else that could go wrong.

Tahoe Vacation Part 2: More Outdoor Fun

Well I am back again from Vegas. So now I can try and get caught up on this blog. Sorry there are going to be a lot of pictures. But I figure the collages are cute, but you can't see the pictures that well, plus it will take longer to do that than just put the pictures up.

One day Mike, Shawn and Piper (their dog) came over to spend some time with us. The kids of course loved the dog.

Piper liked to walk around Clay when he was in his highchair, and Clay of course would giggle because he'd feel her fur with his feet.

Lizzi is going through another "my" stage, so anytime Clay tried to get on this toy she'd try to get on too.

Now she's trying to help. Eventually Clay did figure out how to work the power wheel, and man did he giggle when he did.

Tahoe Vacation Part 1: Outdoor Fun & Jelly Belly's

Our Tahoe trip was a blast. James and I really enjoyed time to relax, and we all had fun seeing our family. The kids enjoyed being outside a lot! Most of the pictures I have are just from the kids playing outside. The weather was so nice too(it didn't get really hot until the day we left). The kids did amazing on the drive, they both really enjoyed being able to see out the windows on the van. Here are some pictures of the kids playing outside the day after we got to Tahoe.

Monday we drove to Fairfield, CA to visit the Jelly Belly Factory. I think this will become a yearly tradition for us. James does love Jelly Beans. Elizabeth was so excited to see everything. She even ran up and hugged a stranger thinking it was James because she was so excited. Grandma and Grandpa came with us too and we all had a fun time. James not has 14 pounds of Jelly Belly's to eat. We bought a case of Belly Flops (they are the beans that are shaped weird, are too big, or too small).

Before we drove to Truckee to get Grandma from work and head out, Clayton had a collision with a door. I got him new sandals in Carson City before we headed up the hill and they are a little big for him. Well Clayton also runs a lot, but the momentum he gets is too much for him so far. And this was the result of him launching himself into a door. He was a trooper though and got over it really quick.
