Analyn is 3!

My baby is 3 now.  It makes me sad that she is growing up so fast.  We ended up celebrating her birthday a day early due to James' class schedule on her birthday.  We took the kids to Denny's for dinner (because Analyn wanted pancakes, great dinner before cake LOL).  Then we came home and called Grandma and Grandpa to come over for cake and ice cream.  Elizabeth and Clay have both had a store bought cake so we let Analyn pick on out this year.  She chose a My Little Pony Cake.  Analyn and Clay kept trying very hard to sample the frosting.

She was very excited when we all started singing to her.  And she knew exactly what to do when it came to blowing out the candles.

After cake came the presents.  She still wanted a lot of help with this (from Grandpa especially), she would open a present and give it a little attention and then move on to the next one.

All of the kids were excited to play with the toys afterwards.
For her actual birthday we went and got the good donuts.  I went at 6am and they were already so picked over for donuts.  So I guess next time it will have to be 5:30 when I go.  The kids all enjoyed them though.
She got a Hello Kitty outfit from my parents and really wanted to wear it for the day.  I also found these cute Disney Princess bows so I she wanted to wear one of those too.

After the little fashion show Analyn brought out her new tea set and her and James had a tea party.  She was very attentive to him too making sure he always had something in his cut.  She's cute, but she is also slightly pushy.

I am really glad we did her birthday the day before because she got sick that night and has been sick since.  It made me sad she was sick on her birthday, but I'm glad she isn't old enough to remember it either.

January

I really can not believe it is already February.  The last month went by really fast.  I have some pictures with what went during the month.  Clay got a new church outfit for Christmas and refuses to wear the tie.  One morning I came back in from getting Clay off the bus and Analyn had found his tie and put it on.  At least someone is wearing it.

James received his associates degree in the mail!  It's nice to see some proof of all his hard work.  And it's also nice to know that he only has 1 1/2 to 2 years left of school.

Clay and Analyn have a special little bond.  They get along really well with each other and can play together for hours without many problem.  So seeing Analyn relaxed on Clay and him being okay with it was very sweet.
Lizzie on the other hand doesn't play well with them since she has to control everything they are doing.  But since I was taking a picture she had to be included and the other two were good sports about it.
And to top off our month Clay got his first black eye.  In all honesty I really though this would have happened a long time ago.  I mean I've seen how my son acts and he is pretty crazy most of the time.  This particular incident was at bedtime.  You know how parents are always telling kids to not jump on the bed?  Well Clay learned why we say that.  He misjudged where he was after jumping around and smacked his head on the headboard.  Poor kid, and it looked worst every morning for about 4 or 5 days.
