Well Elizabeth has had a lot of new firsts this week, so here we are again. As you can see she found her toes and feet. She thinks this is pretty awesome and it's now a normal reflex for her to grab her feet when she's on her back. Now she's working on getting her toes in her mouth. This definitely has made changing diapers interesting. She's all about faces still. And if she's within reach will touch any part of the face in front of her. She really likes to do this to James.
We decided to try out rice cereal and see if she would eat it, mostly because the doctor told us to try it when she didn't seem to be satisfied with just cereal anymore. We thought it would be pretty messy, but much to our surprise Elizabeth liked it. She ate all the cereal I made for her, and didn't make a mess at all. It was really funny watching her eat because she doesn't understand what the spoon is for, so she was trying to lick the spoon while it was in her mouth. It was a very fun experience. It's so rewarding to see her growing up.
Elizabeth is also working on rolling over from her back now. She can get about half way, but hasn't got the mechanics down on pushing herself the rest of the way over. So we'll just have to wait and see how long it takes her to figure that out. She's also started making the "M" sound. It's funny to listen to because it almost sounds like she's trying to say mom. And the really funny part about it is she'll only make the sound until I'm playing with her or holding her, and then she'll stop doing it. So she's usually doing it while I'm working on something else nearby.
Well as you can see Elizabeth has had a busy week, but a very productive one. Until next time.
