Look Who's 2

Analyn turned 2 this week! I still can't believe it either, the time that you have small children goes by so fast and here my baby is 2 now! She is such a beautiful little girl too (with SO much hair LOL). Her birthday was on a Sunday this year and we have church mid day so that makes staying happy a tough job for kids that are use to having a nap daily. Clay and Lizzie were so excited for her birthday to get here too (they though they would be getting donuts or McDonalds for breakfast, LOL). We went to church, came home and attempted to get the birthday girl down for a nap so she would be happy later. Unfortunately she is fighting a cold right now so she didn't get to sleep very long, but long enough that she was in a relatively good mood. After she woke up we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner.

Analyn loves Hello Kitty just like Elizabeth and me. So she got her own Hello Kitty cake. I skipped a body this time though.

Analyn has a much different personality than Elizabeth and Clay. They are both high energy and Analyn is more mellow. She's also very independent and stubborn. Her new thing that she does lately is grabbing someones hand and pulling them until they follow her so she can play with them. She uses it on Grandma a lot because Grandma will usually go with her even if she is doing something else.

I was very proud of my little princess. She never once tried to put her finger in the cake (unlike a little boy I know). She was really confused when we started singing...maybe because Clay was throwing a tantrum and spitting because he didn't want to sing the birthday song. Grandpa thought it was hilarious. I will have to check out the video and see if you can hear him doing it.

She even tried to blow out the candles. I don't think she actually got one, but I was pretty surprised that she knew what to do.

Cake time!!

The first present was rough for her. She really didn't know what was going on and it was clothes that she opened first thing. Once she got through a few presents though she got the hang of ripping off that paper to get to the surprise inside. Lizzie and Clay had such a hard time not helping and had to be reminded many times that it wasn't there turn to open presents.

When we got home and the other two kids were in bed we got out some of Analyn's toys she had received. She got this cute little people tree house from my parents and loves it. She is up for about an hour longer than the other kids and she brought it back out tonight to play with it again. We also got her a Hello Kitty doll which she loved because she is always trying to swipe one of Elizabeth's (she has 3) and it would always result in Analyn in tears.

My baby isn't a baby anymore...
