Ponies and Pigs

Clay finally got interested in something they had to do for the kids. It was a slide propped up on some bales of hay. He went up and down a few times before he got mad again. Luckily they also had a little coral of toys for kids to play with too and I think Clay spent a good 45 minutes in that area. I was glad he finally had found something to make him happy.

Analyn especially loved the slide. It was something she could do with minimal help (because she is really going through her independent phase right now and doesn't want any help unless she asks.

Along with some free stuff for the kids to do there were of course things that the kids could do that cost money. Grandpa was very generous and paid for pony rides for the kids that wanted them. The girls went on pony rides but Clay changed his mind and didn't want to go. We were all very surprised that Analyn went on one. We though she would want off. But as she was sitting on the saddle of the pony she started to rock back and forth trying to get the pony to go.

Elizabeth was having so much fun with her cousins. In a lot of ways she acts a lot older than she is so I think she really enjoyed having Rhiannon around to play with and tag along with.

Analyn saw Elizabeth doing these pictures and wanted to do it too.

They also had pig races. So we hung around until it was time for another one. The kids and I had never seen a pig race (I can't say for sure if James has or not). Of course Clay threw his initial fit until he saw the pigs come by. They put Oreo cookies in the feed and that is what the pigs race for. Ultimately the white and black pig, named Oreo, won the race.
