Halloween

The kids had a blast on Halloween. Elizabeth was so excited for school because they were having a costume party at school. After dinner we headed over to the convention center to take the kids to Trick or Treat street. They set up fake walls in one of the conference rooms with doors and local businesses give out candy, toys, etc. Analyn wanted nothing to do with it. About 7 doors in Clayton got scared by a guy that was wearing a mask. So after that he didn't want anything to do with it either. I think next year we will forgo doing this since Elizabeth was the only one that really liked it.

After we were done we drove over to my friends' house so the kids could trick or treat there. Best decision ever! She had all kinds of fun decorations outside with Mickey Mouse, and made Clay want to go up to the door. Originally he didn't want to leave the car. After we were done there we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's house to trick or treat too. Mom had balloons and little toys for them in addition to candy. Analyn LOVED the balloon.

The kids couldn't wait to get going. Mom came along with us since we were trick or treating in their neighborhood. Elizabeth did great. Clay had his moments were he was really into it and then he would want to be held. Analyn did awesome. She didn't know what was going on, but she liked getting treats. A lot of people told me that they loved the crayon costume too.
These were our pumpkins for this year. Mom bought some pumpkins to decorate her house with and told us we could carve them, but the week leading up to Halloween was so chaotic that we never had time to do it. Plus truth be told I hate carving pumpkins! But Elizabeth started girls scouts the week before Halloween and we made these pumpkins at our first meeting (we have 2 because Clay came with us to the meeting as well). They have a candle inside them and glow, but I didn't have anymore matches for the picture.
