Something the kids were really looking forward to was a visit to the beach. Since we were in Tahoe for 11 days we planned on going a few times at least. We went with James' family and some friends the day after we arrived. The beach was not crowded at all (for a Saturday I was really surprised). The water was cold, but the sand was smooth so we were able to wade in the water and swim a lot. Analyn loved the water and walked right in...then a wave hit her in the back of the head and she was done for about an hour. After that she decided to let me swim out with her so she could touch the "rope" that is out there. Lizzie mostly played on the beach in the sand, and Clay would alternate between sand and the water. He is fearless and would just run into the water right off. We all had a lot of fun and I am always super jealous that James got to grow up there.
