After church I got the kids all in flag tees. My kids are not very cooperative when it comes to group shots. So I opted for individual pictures of each instead. Analyn is always ready for a picture.
Lizzie was really excited to get out the door.
And Clay where he is most of the time, bugging Analyn.
Uncle Mike with Analyn
James with Lillyanne
We spent most of the afternoon at the house and then that evening we headed over to Embassy Suites near Stateline to go and listen to James' Dad perform. If you go to Tahoe you need to try and see him in action. The kids loved it of course even though they were so busy we were sitting at the very edge and couldn't see much of Grandpa perform. We were able to take the kids over individually and in small groups though so they could listen up close. All day before we went Clay kept saying he wanted to go sing with Grandpa.
Eventually we were able to change tables for a better view of the fireworks to come (trees ended up still being in the way). Grandma and Aunt Tiffany came prepared with cookies and candy to snack on. Keep in mind we got at the restaurant between 5 and 6. Fireworks didn't start until almost 10. The kids were all troopers though and kept themselves entertained.
Any picture I see of James as a kid he is being goofy just like Shawn is in this picture. They are definitely related!
Right before the fireworks started. James and Grandpa took the 4 older kids to a different spot where they could see the fireworks better. Once again Clay was saying he wanted green ones, and Lizzie crashed on James shoulder halfway through. Analyn woke up halfway through and was enthralled by the fireworks. She didn't cry or anything. Then again we didn't have many big bangs either with the fireworks being set off on the lake. With traffic we didn't get home and the kids in bed until about 11:30pm. And yes, by some miracle my kids did sleep in (except Analyn, 11 isn't really that late for her).
