Well we hadn't been to the zoo for a few weeks. So the Tuesday after we got back from Tahoe we decided to go spend the morning there. It was a lot of fun. We made sure we got there about the time that they opened hoping to beat the crowd. It was so nice being able to actually walk up to see the animals instead of having to fight our way through a crowd of people. We took Elizabeth up to the Elephant statue so she could actually see it. She doesn't like statues, we couldn't get her near any of them.
For some reason she didn't like the Elephant either. It was nice being able to actually see the animals too. We got there a little after 9 am so it wasn't too hot yet. So we saw a lot of the animals up close.
We can always tell when Elizabeth likes something because she goes up to the fence and will just watch. Sometimes she'll tell us what's she's looking at too.
And here is the same cat that paces in front of the window. He was doing it the last time we went and again on the last visit. Elizabeth loves this exhibit because she thinks he's funny walking back and forth. Even Clay saw him and got excited and started kicking.
Here Elizabeth is pointing at the huge snake. Once she realized something was in there, she was very interested.
We didn't get to see any gorillas again! In fact we didn't get to see many monkeys which are probably Elizabeth's favorite. Good thing we have a year pass because at this rate it might take that long to actually see the monkeys.
And here is James sporting Elizabeth's hat. She got tired of wearing it and since we went without our strollers on this visit he just wore it.
We had a lot of fun, and even ran into my cousin Amy while we were there. It's really nice having the pass too, because we were only there for maybe an hour that day. So it's nice to know we aren't loosing money because Elizabeth and Clay get tired so fast. Elizabeth was asking about the zoo today, so we're planning another trip this week for her. Hopefully we'll get to see the gorillas.
