Tahoe Trip Part 5: Party and Going Home

Well our last fun activity before we left Tahoe was Rhiannon's birthday party. It was the day we were beginning to drive back to Utah. Luckily it was early enough in the day that we were able to stay for most of it. Elizabeth had a lot of fun being outside and running around.
One of the games involved water balloons and after they were all gone Elizabeth decided that the water looked pretty good to drink. Luckily the bucket was deep enough she couldn't actually get to the water. But she still pretended it was "Yummy water!"

Grandma was helping out and cut the cake. Well as soon as the first piece of cake was on a plate and on the table, Elizabeth grabbed it literally. She definitely knew what she wanted and went for it. She was funny while she ate it. Whenever she eats something she always says, "Mmm, yummy (fill in the blank)" so of course she kept telling us how good the cake was.

The drive to Elko was LONG. It only took 5 hours, but for some reason seemed to drag. Maybe we were just tired from being in the sun for a while at the party (that was the only day during our vacation that was really hot). But the drive did end and we made it to Elko. Elizabeth was super excited to be out of the car.

My Dad had been walking again around the edge of the golf course and had a new bag full of golf balls he needed to wash, so Elizabeth helped. Elizabeth and Clay love water and baths, so she had a lot of fun splashing Grandpa mostly. But I think he had fun too.

I said, "Elizabeth show me the golf balls" and of course she would never turn around, but this shot was still cute.

And Clay was exploring too, and got stuck in a corner and freaked out.
